Tharik is a freelance journalist, travel writer, broadcaster, photographer and blogger specialising in the Islamic stories of Europe and Muslim travel. His work has been published across the globe and he is a contributor to Salaam Gateway. Tharik has been a guest on BBC radio, British Muslim TV and the Islam Channel. His debut radio documentary for the BBC World Service called America's Mosques; a story of integration, was shortlisted for the 2016 New York Festivals World's Best Radio Programs Awards. He has also consulted on the Lonely Planet Hajj guide inside the Oman, UAE and Arabian Peninsula guide book. Born in Bangladesh, Tharik grew up in London and has lived in Jeddah, KSA. He has travelled extensively and possesses a Masters in Islamic Studies and a degree in Media and Culture.
